Hi, I have the same problem. The author of the BookZ told me the handling of dictionaries will be fixed in upcoming 2.9 app update. But since then no update was reported by my appstore:( It has been 2 months already.

Hi,

I am confused, because here, you mention uploading three files for the dictionary, which I did, at the proper address specified in my Bookz application and like you describe in the application itself, using FileZilla, and it failed, because Bookz keeps telling me that there are no dictionary to import. And in the instructions of the application Bookz on my Ipod, it says to copy the tar.bz2 file only. I do not have tar files on my computer, but zip files, that produce the .dict, .ifo and .idx files when uncompressed (I use Windows). Do I have to find a way to convert my zip files to tar files in order for this feature to work? All the dictionaries I have downloaded from stardict are zip files.

Thanks for your reply.

Hey Steve,
I I finally got Mirriam Webster 10th edition installed but when I swipe to define a word in Bookz all that ever comes back is "no matches found" or a bunch of gibberish characters. I have dictionary integration turned on. What am I missing? Thanks. Clif

Clif: please make sure all 3 files have exactly the same filename, with .dict .idx and .ifo extensions respectively.

This doesn't work. I get to step 4 and I get a message saying the 3 files don't exist.

I attempted to download hfs.exe, but McAfee flags it as malware and refuses to download it. I was able to download a book by putting it on my website instead. However, it looks like HTML files are still not supported yet... Any ETA?
